As Chief Compliance Officer, Margaret focuses on the firm's compliance with SEC rules and regulations under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940, as well as with applicable state requirements. She also maintains oversight of several functional business areas including Finance, HR, Business Support and Technology. Margaret joined Oak Value in 1991, has been a shareholder of the firm since 1996 and a member of the Oak Value Board of Directors since 1993. She also serves as the firm's Treasurer and Corporate Secretary and is Vice President of the Oak Value Trust, an SEC-registered investment company. Prior to joining Oak Value, Margaret's professional career included serving as a Securities Trader and a Trust Officer at Central Carolina Bank & Trust Co. in Durham NC and as an Administrative Supervisor for Corinthian Capital Company, a registered investment adviser in Englewood, CO. Margaret received her BS in Business Administration and Marketing in 1980 from Boston University, School of Management in Boston, MA. She is an Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional^sm ("IACCP^sm").

Mary is currently a Sr. Vice President and Director of Client Management and joined Oak Value in 1997. Mary has served in a variety of client servicing and operating roles, has taken on progressively increased responsibilities, and was instrumental in establishing and developing a formalized client services function at the firm. Mary has served as Director of Client Accounting and Client Services since 2001 and is responsible for the overall management of Client Services, Client Accounting and Trading. Mary has been a shareholder of Oak Value Capital Management, Inc. since 2003. Prior to joining Oak Value, Mary served as a Vice President, Director of Client Services and Associate Portfolio Manager with Seaboard Investment Advisers, and as a Sales Assistant at Merrill Lynch in Washington, DC. Mary received her BS in Finance from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA in 1987.
